The "Clean Tower" project was founded to meet the increasing need for flexibility in the maintenance and filtration of fluids used in machine tools.
For this reason, Diedron srl, having specialised in the marketing and technical development of coolants and neat oils for over 20 years, and engaged in the design and manufacture of filtering systems for industrial fluids and dielectric liquids, has decided to develop systems dedicated to nanofiltration.
Inspired by the needs expressed by our customers, we have developed the EFFE series. These are modular fixed and mobile solutions that ensure filtration down to 1 micron, in addition to the elimination of sludge, swarf and bacteria, in a single operational cycle.
The "Clean Tower" systems meet the filtration requirements of most machine tools, as well as those of electric discharge machines.
The principle of filtering is mechanical in nature, in other words, a porous filtering surface intersects the passage of the liquid, without any reduction in flow rate.
This simple and economical technology assures constant filtration quality without employing "invasive" methods. In simple terms, a by-pass is implemented around the tanks, occupying little space and above all, without depending on the control functions of the machine tool itself.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A CUTTING OIL IS LOADED WITH METAL PARTICLES IN SUSPENSION?
In a cutting oil, whether it is emulsifiable or neat, the suspended metal particles behave as catalysts and combine with the EP additives, causing degradation which is often irreversible.
These chemical reactions give rise to insoluble compounds, metal soaps and polymers, which combined with the metal particles themselves, increase the overall volume of the sludge produced.
All this inevitably deteriorates the additives (required for their anti-wear, high-pressure resistance, antioxidant properties etc.) that characterise the Clean Tower cutting oils, making it necessary to reactivate them when possible, or replace them totally, incurring increasing costs due to the purchase of new products and disposal of the old.
FOR THESE REASONS, CUTTING OILS MUST BE FILTERED PROPERLY.
