SELF-CLEANING - FT

The FT filters are designed for filtration of large volumes of coolant liquid, without involving the management of disposable filter material. 
The filter element of The FT filter uses a special woven wire cloth wrapped around a static/dynamic drum that is kept airtight with respect to the chassis, also throughout the dynamic rotation phase. 
The wire cloth is permanent and its filtering efficiency is kept constant thanks to an exclusive DOUBLE washing system, based on back-pressure liquid jets that the clean from the inside towards the outside and with additional tangential jets that further complete the cleaning process.
The flow rate ranges from 100 litres/min up to 1000 litres/min.

OPERATING PRINCIPLE


The contaminated liquid is conveyed to the interior and from here, thanks to the Archimedes communicating vessels principle, it passes through the wire cloth, entering the inside of the drum, depositing its impurities on the outer side of the metal cloth. As long as the deposited layer of dirt on the cloth allows a constant flow to pass, the levels inside and outside the drum will remain equal and the contaminated liquid coming from outside will continue to cross the metal cloth, cleaning itself.
When the filter element saturates, the soiled liquid level will begin to increase and a level-sensitive microswitch will activate the rotation of the drum, exposing a new clean portion of wire cloth and thus restoring the balance of the fluids.
After the rotation, the area of the filtering saturated with sludge will no longer be immersed in the liquid, it will be in a stand-by position, during which the DOUBLE CLEANING SYSTEM will apply a capillary purging process, making it permeable again for a subsequent filtration cycle. After removal from the filter cloth, the sludge concentrate collects on the bottom of the housing chassis where a belt conveyor with flights carries it outside. Each flight of the conveyor belt is cleaned by a brush system returning to the cycle, ensuring perfect operation.
